What do you do when your husband deploys? As a military spouse, you have probably asked this question of yourself or been asked by those around you. Though the details can differ vastly for each spouse, the main answer is universally the same, “You do what you have to do.”

For some spouses, this includes becoming more involved in community service or church. For others, it means long hours at the office or staying home caring for children. I recently sat down with Marine spouse Lauren Lee to ask her a few questions that many of us ponder when we hear that our husband will soon deploy. Lauren is the wife of Staff Sgt. Get your friends together and have an awesome spouse night out.The Fabulous Palm Springs Follies & D’Carlo’s Italian Café would like to honor the MCAGCC Military Spouses with a complimentary Dinner & Show.Italian Cuisine will be served at D’Carlo’s Italian Café followed by an evening performance of “Let the Good Times Roll” by the Fabulous Palm Springs Follies.  MCCS will provide transportation to and from the event, leaving the Base Theatre at 3 p.m. A gratuity of $5 (cash only please) for dinner will be collected as you board the bus. The Tiger Woods Foundation is offering all Department of Defense personnel the chance to attend the 2009 Chevron World Challenge at Sherwood Country Club in Thousand Oaks, Calif., for free!
A free grounds ticket, good any one day, is available to all DOD personnel (Active Duty, Reserve, Retired, National Guard, Dependents and Civilians)with a valid Military ID or CAC card Wednesday, December 2 through Sunday, December 6.
If you bring your valid DOD ID with you to the admission gate, you will receive a complimentary grounds ticket, valid for that day. Please note that one military ID = one complimentary grounds ticket.

Marines and their families can now get free help with school work thanks to a new contract with Tutor.com.  Students of any age, from kindergartner to high school senior, as well as adult students, may use the service to connect to an expert tutor for help in math, science, social studies and English. Each tutor has earned a degree and has completed extensive background checks.
