.:Summary of Duties:.Sets up, operates and maintains 35mm motion picture projecting equipment, and public address or intercommunication systems. Inspects film before it is shown and reports any problems or potential problems to supervisor before show time. Maintains log of servicing dates for machines to ensure proper maintenance service is obtained in a timely manner and advises supervisor when maintenance servicing is due. Keeps projection booth clean and orderly. May prepare film for forwarding. Packages film according to instruction determined by designation. Provides World Class Customer Service with an emphasis on courtesy. Assists customers and communicates positively in a friendly manner. Acknowledges customers, smiles and makes eye contact. Asks questions to determine, verify and solve problems. Checks for satisfaction on the quality of goods and services. Takes action to solve problems quickly. Alerts the higher-level supervisor, or proper point of contact for help when problems arise. Adheres to safety regulations and standards. Uses required safety equipment, and observes safe work procedures. Promptly reports any observed workplace hazards, and any injury, occupational illness, and/or property damage resulting from workplace mishaps to the immediate supervisor. Adheres to established standards of actively supporting the principles of the EEO program and prevention of sexual harassment. Performs other duties as required. Skills and Knowledge: Must possess the potential for learning and demonstrating the ability to perform the following: (1) To set-up, operate and adjust sound motion picture projectors properly to achieve proper size, illumination, and focus of the image of motion pictures; (2) To set-up, operate, and/or adjust public address systems or intercommunication systems; (3) Recognize and anticipate the transfer of operation from one machine to another without interrupting flow of action on screen. Responsibility: Incumbent performs duties independently in accordance with prescribed practices and general directions of supervisor. Physical Effort: Work is normally performed while standing. Reaches, bends and stoops to lift, place and carry equipment. Lifts and carries objects up to 45 lbs independently and objects over 45 lbs with assistance. Working Conditions: Work is performed inside semi-dark, clean, well-heated areas. Exposed to possibility of cuts and bruises to fingers from moving sprockets. |
