This facility provides counseling services for family, marital and personal issues. Counseling Services provides "Open Door Counseling" each Monday from 5pm to 7pm. Drop in for counseling and information without having to complete any paperwork. This service is offered to Marines and Sailors [single or married] and their spouses who may want some brief counseling regarding a personal or marital issue. Information about other helpful programs aboard the base is available. Licensed marriage and family therapists also available for counseling.

The New Parent Support Program is a professional team of nurses and social workers who provide supportive and caring services to military families with children ages five and under. The team does this through home visitation services, support groups, parenting and prenatal classes.

Daddy's Baby Boot Camp and Mommy's Basic Training are classes for expectant military parents and parents with children under the age of one.

Prevention and Education offers classes on anger management, stress management, domestic violence, child abuse, suicide awareness, sexual assault and much more.

SACC provides services for issues pertaining to alcohol and drug use, abuse and dependence. These services include prevention, education, screenings, and assessments. Prevent and education provides information about making good choices about alcohol use and misuse. Screenings and assessments are conducted in order to provide Marines and Sailors with the appropriate care and treatment. Any service member, dependent or retiree with concerns about their relationship with alcohol are invited to visit the SACC.

In the event of an emergency, please call 911. To file a report of domestic abuse, contact the Provost Marshal's Office at 760-830-6800 and the on-call advocate will be notified. For medical attention, please contact the Emergency Room at 760-830-2345. For incidents that do not require immediate police, medical attention or you do not want the incident reported, contact the Victims Advocates' Office at 760-830-4314.

VICITIM ADVOCATE VOLUNTEERS WANTED

The MCCS Counseling Services Victim Advocacy Program is currently looking
for volunteers to assist military families in our community. If you are interested in spending a couple of days per month to help families affected by domestic violence and have experience or want to learn more about keeping military families safe, please contact Michelle Shotwell at 830-4314 for more information. Training will be provided.
