What is MCCS?
Welcome to an active lifestyle with Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) aboard MCAGCC 29 Palms. MCCS consists of Food & Hospitality, Semper Fit / Recreation, Retail, Services, Marine and Family Services, and Support Divisions. All of our programs offered to ACTIVE DUTY military personnel, RETIREES, FAMILY MEMBERS, GUESTS, DOD and NAFI employees. MCCS divisions are designed to enhance the "Quality of Life" of the Marine family by providing quality services and activities.
Family Services
Marine and Family services strives to promote personal and family readiness through a wide array of classes, workshops, and one-on-one counseling options. Each branch of Marine and Family Services offers the members of our MCAGCC families the tools for success in life. We offer opportunities to help you attain your goals in nearly every aspect of life, from academics, counseling, preparing for deployments, finding a job, locating quality child care, reaching your financial goals or just coping with military life. If you need help or want to improve you life skills, we can help with that too. Take a look at the different ways in which Family Services can assist you and your family.
Our Marine Corps Exchange
We’re not just a store, we’re part of your benefits! With every purchase you make at the Marine Corps Exchange (MCX), you’re receiving the best price and investing in the future of all Marines, servicemen, their families and our honored retirees. The dollars you spend at the MCX and MCX branch stores support community programs provided by MCCS. Choose your MCX for its value to YOU!
The MCX at 29 Palms offers five stores and a gas station. The two main shopping areas are the Main Exchange and the Home Store. See what we have to offer in fashion, food, gardening, home accessories, electronics, sporting goods, toys and more. Sign up for our mailing list and receive our direct mail catalogs and check the weekly OP for special offers. We’re everything and more for less.
Recreation
Semper Fit offers a wide range of recreational programs and activities, from active duty intramural sports to family friendly trailers at Lake Havasu. If you're looking for a recreational challenge, watch for our Combat Center Challenge. If you're seeking family activities, you'll find numerous programs such as wood working, swimming lessons, movies and bowling. Don't miss out on excellent training programs at the base fitness centers where you can participate in yoga, martial arts and many other classes to support your fitness goals. With so much to offer, you'll never have to leave the base to find high quality recreation and leisure activities.
Clubs & Dining
The Food and Hospitality Division oversees the Officers’, SNCO and Enlisted Clubs, snack bars, fast food restaurants and mobile canteen operations. Fast food restaurants include Carl's Jr., Subway, Domino's, Church's Chicken and Taco Bell. Or try Jasmine's Espresso Cafe for specialty coffees and ice cream . MCCS Clubs are the ideal setting to gather with friends for lunch or host your next catering event. As active duty or retired service members, or DOD civilian employees, the clubs continue to serve as the premier location for lunch, promotion celebrations, hail and farewells, mess nights, PMEs and many other professional or social occasions. The traditional value and versatility of your club makes it a uniquely qualified location for your next special event.
